Body Worn Cameras

Release Date:  May 7, 2021

The Hanover Township Police Department has started to deploy and train its officers in the use of Body Worn Cameras.

On November 20, 2020, Governor Murphy signed P.L. 2020, Chapters 128 and 129 into law, requiring "every uniformed State, county, and municipal patrol law enforcement officer" wear a Body Worn Camera (BWC) that will electronically record audio and video while acting in the performance of their duties.

Hanover Police have selected and purchased the Panasonic Arbitrator BWC 4000 for use by their officers.  The below image shows what the device looks like and where uniformed officers will be wearing theirs.  Should you have any questions please feel free to contact Captain David White.
